In articles you'll find through the left menu, we cover downloading cross- stitch patterns from the internet, unzipping these patterns, organizing them on the computer in an easy-to-find way, and making backup copies of your patterns on CDs.

Each article comes with screenshots and step-by-step instructions. These instructions are made for use on a PC Windows XP, but will still be helpful if you have Windows 98 or Windows 2000.

In the articles, we explain basic terms first and then use these terms in the next set of instructions. Because of this, please read the articles one at a time, in exactly the listed order. Skip something only if you know the topic well.
